An area woman has died of injuries sustained in a weekend accident in Effingham County. Illinois State Police and the Effingham County Coroners office report that around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, a vehicle being driven by 43 year old Kelli Moon of Greenup was headed north on the Dieterich/Montrose blacktop about 3 miles north of Dieterich. The car ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a ditch. It then rolled over multiple times before coming to rest. Moon was the only one inside and was ejected from the auto. She was taken to St Anthony Hospital at Effingham was was pronounced dead of her injuries. Investigation into the fatal mishap continues.
