Fulton County Public Library continues with busy Summer Library Program

The Fulton County Public Library is hosting a summer full of reading, activities, and special events.

This year’s theme, “Unearth a Story,” will focus on dinosaurs, fossils, and archaeology through a variety of hands-on programs and presentations for all ages.

Participants who sign up for the Summer Library Program (SLP) will be eligible for weekly prize drawings. Library patrons can enter by either checking out or returning materials or using library resources while visiting a branch, such as reading books or attending programs.

The library has scheduled several featured programs throughout the summer in partnership with visiting organizations.

Roz Puppets will perform at all three library branch locations on Tuesday, June 30. Showtimes are scheduled for 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Rochester, 3-4 p.m. at Fulton, and 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Aubbee.

Dinosaur enthusiasts can also attend programs by FelleRExpress Dinosaurs at the Aubbee Branch on Tuesday, July 7, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.; at the Rochester Branch on Wednesday, July 8, from 11 a.m. to noon; and at the Fulton Branch on Wednesday, July 8, from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

In addition to these featured events, the library’s Teen and Children’s Departments will host “Friday Fundays” each week during SLP from 1-2:30 p.m. Planned activities include “Community Cave Art,” “Jurassic Bugs,” and “Olympic Games!”

Additional events and program details can be found on the library’s monthly calendar at the library website: https://www.fulco.lib.in.us/calendar-of-events/ or patrons can come in-person and take a printed calendar.
