Barbara J. Williams Hattery 85, Rochester, passed away at 1:27 A.M., Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Wynnfield Crossing, Rochester.
She was born on May 6, 1940 in Fulton, Indiana, the daughter of Herschel and Helen (Messinger) Goss. On April 11, 1959 in Fulton, Indiana, she married Mark L. Williams, and he preceded her in death on July 10, 1998. On June 12, 2004, she married Granville D. Hattery and he preceded her in death on November 15, 2017.
Barbara was a homemaker working on the family farm as well as working at Mary’s Stitch ‘N Knit, Stoney Pike Sale Barn, and the Winning Edge. She was a member of the Fulton Community Church and part of the Ladies Aid. Barbara had been a member of the Fulton Liberty Lions Club, Friendly 12 Club and the Fulton County Arts Commission. She was also a part of the Fulton Improvement Committee that started the Fulton Community Building.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth (Wendell) Burton, Rochester, Indiana, son, Gary (Beth) Williams, Rochester, Indiana, stepchildren, Jeffrey (Gina) Hattery, Macy, Indiana, Loretta (Gary) Halterman, Macy, Indiana, Lisa (David) Halterman, Macy, Indiana, Krista (Conrad) Warder, Peru, Indiana, grandchildren, Amanda (Steve) Metzger, Rochester, Indiana, Nicole (Vance) Monical, Rochester, Indiana, Ryan (Dana) Williams, Kewanna, Indiana, Ryley Williams, Rochester, Indiana, Kent (Kate) Burton, Rochester, Indiana, several great grandchildren, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Louise Morrill and Dorothy Goss.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 P.M., Friday, September 26, 2025 at the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, Indiana.
