Argos eliminated Rochester in the girls soccer postseason opener for both Tuesday night.
With the 6-0 win, Argos advances to play LaVille in a 7 p.m. Thursday sectional semifinal at Argos.
Argos led 4-0 at halftime.
Tippecanoe Valley (3-11) ended its girls soccer season at the Plymouth sectional with a 12-0 loss to Northwood. Northwood will play Culver Academies in a semifinal.
In boys soccer sectionals Monday, Rochester (5-9-1) won in postseason play for the first time since 2016 by eliminating Tippecanoe Valley 3-1.
Spencer Backus scored twice for the Zebras who also beat the Vikings (2-14-1) during the regular season by a 5-2 score.
Up next, a 5 p.m. Wednesday semifinal to play Eastern (Greentown) (7-5-1) at the 2A Wabash sectional.
At the 1A boys sectional at Argos, the home team got a measure of revenge by beating Lakeland Christian, 1-0. LC defeated Argos in the sectional final last season.
Next, Argos will play Winamac. Winamac advanced with an 11-1 victory over Culver Community.
Argos and Winamac sport identical 10-4-2 records. On August 28, Argos defeated Winamac 5-1.
The other semifinal at the Argos site pits North Miami vs Caston. They played to a 3-3 tie at the end of regulation on September 16 before Caston closed out an 8-6 overtime win.
