State Road 29 is currently closed between State Road 25/U.S. 35 / U.S. 24 and the north junction of State Road 218 through approximately Sept. 5.
On or after, Tuesday, resurfacing will begin on the south end of the project area between C.R. 500 N and the south junction of State Road 218. Work will be conducted under lane closures for approximately two weeks, with access for local traffic only.
Starting in mid-September, State Road 29 will be closed between the north junction of State Road 218 and C.R. 500 N. This resurfacing will be a full depth reclamation where the entire asphalt pavement and a portion of the underlying materials are pulverized and blended to create a stabilized base course for a new surface layer. The road will be fully closed to all traffic in the area where work is occurring.
Work will be ongoing through late November, and local access will be maintained. The official detour will follow State Road 25 and State Road 218.
