Bertram is still considered missing and the Bellevue (KY) Police will continue to follow any leads they receive.
The search for a former Greencastle man has been suspended.
On Sunday, the Boone County Water Rescue announced it had wrapped up a seventh day of searching the Ohio River for Mark Bertram. Bertram is still considered missing and the Bellevue (KY) Police will continue to follow any leads they receive.
The case involving Bertram, 65, began October 27. Campbell County Office of Emergency Management, the Campbell County Land Search and Rescue, Boone County Water Rescue, Bellevue Police and Fire and four search canines from area Kentucky counties began searching for Bertram until the early morning hours of October 28.
Their search focused on a half square mile from Colfax Avenue down to the banks of the Ohio River. The canines all brought the search within 100 yards of each other at the river.
Local authorities say they are fairly positive that Bertram entered the river at the dead end of Lafayette Avenue. Sonar searches of the area offered no results.
