The Fairfield Lady Mules came from behind Monday and defeated the Lawrenceville softball Lady Indians 4-1 in non-conference action at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville.
The Lady Indians took a 1-0 lead in the early going but could add no more offense. The Lady Mules then scored four unanswered runs to pick up the victory. Fairfield scored their 4 runs on 7 hits and made no errors while Lawrenceville was held to just 1 run on 4 hits (2 of those by Elaina Hoke) and committed 1 error. Allison Evans took the pitching loss for the Lady Indians.
The Lady Indians are now 3-5 on the season and are idle till Saturday when they play in the multi-team Vincennes Lincoln Tournament.
