Due to continued dry conditions and no imminent rainfall in the forecast, the fire chiefs in Lawrence County (Bridgeport, Denison, Christy and Lawrence-Allison) are reimplementing a county wide burn ban until further notice. No outdoor burning will be allowed. As with the previous burn ban, fire pits outdoors will be allowed as long as they are attended to and extinguished before left alone. Residents are also asked to not discard lit cigarettes from vehicles.
