Lawrence County States Attorney Brady Waldrop has announced that 24-year-old Zachary Roof of Sumner was given a total of 25 years in prison during an appearance this week in Lawrence County Circuit Court.
He was sentenced to the maximum of 15 years on a charge of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, a Class 1 Illinois Felony and 10 years on a charge of Child Pornography, a Class X Illinois Felony.
The sentences will run consecutively in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) and will be followed by 3 years to life of mandatory supervised release.
