Lawrence County Memorial Hospital (LCMH) in Lawrenceville is encouraging local residents to take a step toward better health in 2025.
Walk with a Doc is a program that brings doctors and patients together to walk Wednesday mornings at 7:30 a.m. CT at the Armory in Lawrenceville.
It is open to the community with free participation and no pre-registration.
Those who participate will walk with healthcare professionals who will provide support and answer questions.
Statistics show that increasing exercise even at a moderate level reduces the risk of many diseases such as coronary heart disease, breast and colon cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and blood sugar and obesity.
More information is available through the hospital website and Facebook page.
