A Starke County man who became the focus of a search after not reporting to work has been found deceased.
Phillip Wireman, 63, of Grovertown, was located during a coordinated search. Wireman was found deceased. No word was given on a possible cause of death. An autopsy is pending.
Just after 7:30 a.m. on Friday deputies responded to the 1000 East block of 200 North in reference to a missing person. It was reported that Phillip Wireman’s employer became concerned when he did not report to work.
The Starke County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Indiana State Police, Starke County Coroner, Knox Fire Department, Bass Lake Fire Department, Koontz Lake Fire Department, Washington Township Fire Department, North Judson Fire Department, San Pierre Fire Department, and Culver Fire Department.
This incident remains under investigation.
