The Lawrence County Sheriffs Department Thursday picked up a wanted local man.
Taken into custody was 34 year old Justin Ferguson of Bridgeport.
He was being sought by the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC).
Ferguson was booked into the Lawrence County Jail and was being held there pending transport to the IDOC.
