Jeffrey Steven Johnson, age 68 of St. Francisville, was found passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Jeffrey Steven Johnson, age 68 of St. Francisville, was found passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, September 6, 2025. He was born in Mt. Carmel on January 25, 1957, to William “Gene” Johnson and his wife Margaret Gwenyth (Zimmerman) Johnson.

As a young man, Jeff married his sweetheart, Vickie S. Moudy. Together they raised their five children, Travis, Cole, Jordan, Tanner, and Hannah until her passing on January 11, 2004.

He was an Allendale High School graduate and went on to work for Jones and Sons of Vincennes for over 35 years. His primary role at Jones and Sons was Quality Control Manager. Even after “retirement” he continued to lend his knowledge and dedicated work ethic there.

The Elks Association (BPOE) was a large part of Jeff’s life. He was very active at the local and state levels. He was currently serving as the Illinois Elks Association Vice President. Jeff had been a member of the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed golfing, hunting, and was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan.

His legacy of love and dedication will be carried on by: his five children- Travis Johnson and Allison of St. Francisville, Cole Johnson and Kait of Allendale, Jordan Johnson and Camille of Lawrenceville, Tanner Johnson and Danielle of St. Francisville, and Hannah Rogers and Zach of Patoka, IN; two siblings- Regina Medler and Rick of Kentucky Lake and Bill Johnson and Debbie of Allendale; thirteen grandchildren- Keely Breen, Hadley Johnson, Gunnar Johnson, Camden Johnson, Maverick Johnson, Cooper Johnson, Kayson Johnson, Molina Johnson, Callena Kamp, Kendall Johnson, Reid Johnson, Crew Rogers, and Ty Rogers with one more on the way; his BOYS- Pepper and Rebel; and his loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Jeff was preceded in death by: his parents, Gene and Margaret Johnson; his wife- Vickie Johnson; and one granddaughter- Monroe Johnson.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Christian Church of St. Francisville from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Funeral services with an Elks ceremony will follow immediately at 3:00 pm at the church. Burial will take place in Oak Lawn Cemetery in St. Francisville.
