A wanted man is in custody in Knox County Indiana after a police chase earlier this week. The Knox County Sheriffs Department reports that Tuesday around 7:30 p.m. ET, a deputy patroling in Bicknell spotted a vehicle being driven by 35 year old Phillip Brown of Bicknell who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. He began following the Brown vehicle. Brown then sped up and ran a stop sign heading out of town. The deputy then began pursuit. Brown then turned off the highway and entered a field and then abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. An adult female and a child were both left behind in the vehicle. Brown was later located in Bicknell and was arrested. He has been charged with Resisting Law Enforcement, Driving While Suspended (with a prior conviction) and Neglect of a Dependent. He was being held in the Knox County Jail without bond.
