The Lawrence County Broadband Development Committee is working to enhance internet access across Lawrence County which would ensure that every individual and business has access to reliable high speed internet service across the county in the future. A group of 16 members from throughout the county have been meeting since March working on the issue. To kickstart the initiative, all residents of Lawrence County are being asked to fill out and return a survey regarding their internet usage and speed. The feedback from this survey will be of valuable use in the effort to obtain any federal or state funding which may be available. The surveys will be available online and in paper form at various locations throughout the county such as the library, Chamber of Commerce office in Lawrenceville, Lawrence County Farm Bureau office west of Lawrenceville and others. The surveys will also be available via mail. The deadline to complete and return them is Wednesday May 15th.
