The National Weather Service is warning of the dangers of fire.
Continued dry conditions around the region have led to a number of fire incidents including in Lawrence County.
Units of the Lawrence-Allison Fire Protection District along with other agencies were mobilized to a structure fire Friday in Russellville.
An outdoor trash fire fanned by high winds spread to a residential shed and destroyed the building.
Firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading to a nearby garage and mobile home.
The Vincennes Township Fire Department also responded to the scene.
The Christy Fire Protection District dealt with a fence row fire at a location along Illinois Route 250 with no appreciable damage.
The situation will ease with substantial rain in the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.
