On Thursday afternoon, October 2, Patrolman Thornton with the Plymouth Police Department observed a vehicle traveling on Michigan Street, with sheet metal obstructing the driver's view.
After stopping the vehicle and speaking with the driver, it was determined that Jose Yobani Vargas-Mejia, 53, of Lincolnway East Apartments had never been issued a driver’s license.
Vargas-Mejia was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license. In less than three hours, his cash bond was paid, and he was released on bond with a court date.
