Authorities in Gibson County Indiana have now released the identity of the victim of a fatal mobile home fire.
A 9-1-1 call was received Monday around 5 p.m. CT regarding a fire at a trailer located in the 100 block of South Mill Street in Patoka. Firefighters responded to the scene and arrived to find heavy flames and thick smoke coming from the structure. One person was trapped inside and was pronounced deceased by the Gibson County Coroner. She was identified as 65-year-old Kristela Prunty of Patoka. An autopsy will be conducted in the near future to determine the exact cause of death.
The Indiana State Fire Marshall has been called in to assist local fire officials in the investigation into a cause.
