The Lawrence Public Library Board of Trustees met Tuesday night in regular monthly session at the library in downtown Lawrenceville. They moved to modify the hours of operation of the library on Eclipse Day-Monday April 8th to 9:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. The move was made in anticipation of a potential lack of activity at the facility on that day. A vote was also approved to spend an estimated $4100 for Niehaus Lumber in Vincennes to replace the circulation desk countertop due to extensive use. It is hoped that that work will begin in the near future.
