The Clark County Illinois Sheriffs Department reports a southwest Indiana juvenile drowned while in the Wabash River late Saturday morning southeast of West Union.
Reports indicate that the 15 year old was in the river with family members and was swept away by the fast moving current. Emergency search and rescue dive teams were called to the scene and recovered the teen’s body around 2 p.m. ET after a lengthy search. The sheriffs Department reports that the family involved is from Merom, Ind. No other information has been released.
