The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting the potential of a winter storm system lifting across the WAKO listening area Monday night and continuing through late Tuesday night. Period of heavy rain are possible and could occasionally mix with snow. Wins are expected to pick up out of the northwest and gust up to 40 mph Tuesday. The NWS is also predicting another winter storm system possible Friday into Saturday with potential for accumulation, strong winds and hazardous travel conditions.
