The National Weather Service (NWS) has extended the Flood Warning for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville until Saturday, March 14th.
The river did crest late Monday at 32.8 feet, just under three feet above flood stage and has begun a steady fall. Early Tuesday, it was measured at 32.5 and still falling. The Embarras is now forecast to fall below its 30-foot flood stage Saturday morning. Some minor flooding does continue along the riverbanks east of Lawrenceville.
