Two more counties in southeastern Illinois have implemented open burning bans due to continued dry weather and a high risk of fire.
Crawford County and Clay County have joined Lawrence County in taking the action.
Daviess County in southwestern Indiana has also announced a burn ban. Richland County in southeastern Illinois has issued a burn advisory to citizens that urges caution in attempting any sort of outdoor burning activities.
