In the same week, Governor Braun announced a 10-35 percent reduction in reimbursement to childcare providers, and he has also called a Special Session of the Indiana Senate to start talks on further gerrymandering Indiana’s congressional districts. We should all question spending tax money for a special session for partisan purposes. It is reported that a Special Session could cost up to $30,000 per day. This is a power grab, a waste of time and our tax dollars, and will in no way benefit constituents in Marshall County. It is obvious that the Super Majority Republican Legislature and Braun are more concerned about taking direction from Washington and Donald Trump than the Hoosiers they are supposed to represent.
