One man is dead after a shooting in Princeton in southwestern Indiana Wednesday.
The Princeton Police Department reports they were dispatched to a location at Seminary and Mulberry Streets after being informed of a male subject armed with a gun. When officers arrived at the scene, they confronted the man at the scene. He ducked inside a garage and then began firing shots at the officers. They did not return fire and waited.
After a period of inactivity, authorities then made their way inside the garage and discovered the man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. There were no injuries to the officers. The name of the deceased has yet to be released as the investigation continues.
