
Franklin College football needed a late scoring drive Saturday to win at Muskingum, 34-33.
Muskingum, located in New Concord, Ohio, scored 23 unanswered points to take a 33-28 lead before the Grizzlies rallied to improve to 2-2 this season.
Triton Central graduate Brayden Wilkins had 15 rushes for 33 yards and a touchdown (a 1-yard run late in first quarter to make it 14-0). He also had five catches for 28 yards and three kickoff returns for 66 yards.
Franklin hosts Rose-Hulman in a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) contest this Saturday.

Axel Conover
The Shelbyville graduate was credited with one solo tackle Saturday in Hanover’s 44-10 win at Rose-Hulman.
The Panthers improved to 2-2 (1-0 HCAC) this season.
Brad Schultz
The Triton Central graduate had one tackle Saturday for No. 14-ranked Marian in a 58-7 win at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan.
The Knights are 4-1 this season.
Shelby Lasure
The Shelbyville graduate collected four kills and 11 digs Wednesday in Anderson’s 25-15, 25-20, 22-25, 25-23 loss at Ohio Christian.
On Saturday, Mount St. Joseph swept the Ravens, 25-23, 25-14, 25-20. Lasure had four digs for Anderson (8-7, 0-1 HCAC).
Oliver Gearlds
The Triton Central graduate finished tied for 14th on Sept. 30 at the conclusion of the River States Conference Men’s Fall Preview event in Daniels, West Virginia.
The two-day event was held at Glade Springs Golf Course. Gearlds, competing for IU Kokomo, posted round of 77 and 74 to finish at 151 (+7).
Asher Caldwell
The Morristown graduate shot 80 (+9) and finished 39th overall for Trine golf Saturday at the MIAA Jamboree No. 3 at Pine River Country Club in Alma, Michigan.
Ellie Simpson
The Shelbyville graduate helped IU East women’s soccer secure a pair of wins.
On Thursday, IU East defeated Kentucky Christian, 8-1. Simpson, a defender, played 75 minutes in the win,
IU East bested Shawnee State Saturday, 1-0. Simpson was on the field the entire 90 minutes.
IU East improved to 5-4-2.
Rebecca Valdez
The Shelbyville graduate played all 90 minutes Thursday for IU Columbus in a 2-1 loss to Brescia University (Kentucky).
On Saturday, West Virginia University Institute of Technology defeated IU Columbus, 2-0. Valdez played 76 minutes in the loss.
IU Columbus is 2-6-2 this season.
